It started with 7 moose statues and a sticker in Spain...
After a trip to Spain, my Grandpa couldn’t stop talking about the bull stickers — plastered on every car like a badge of pride. It gave him a wild idea: the U.P. needed its animal.
He bought 7 life-sized moose from Toronto’s Moose in the City art project, shipped them to Northern Michigan, had them lovingly repainted, and let ’em loose across the U.P.
Then he went one step further — he made Newberry the official Moose Capital of Michigan, and launched the Official Moose in the U.P. sticker. Now those stickers are everywhere, just like the bulls in Spain.
We’re just keeping the herd moving.

Grandpa’s moose legacy sparked the idea — and the three of us ran with it.
We designed the site, picked the products, and built U.P. Moose from the ground up, fueled by good laughs, and a shared love for the Upper Peninsula.

We’re generations strong, raised on fresh snow, fried fish, and stories told louder than necessary around bonfires. It all started with Grandpa’s wild idea to scatter moose statues across the U.P., and now here we are — shipping moosey merch across the world and building something that actually makes us smile every day.
We make things we’d wear, use, and laugh about — and we hope you do too. Every sticker, hoodie, and hat is packed with pride, and probably a few crumbs from pasties we were eating at the time.
