Jimmer isn’t just our mascot—he’s the soul of U.P. Moose. His antlers have felt the weight of winter, his boots know every trail, and his heart beats in rhythm with the northern pines.
Jimmer’s family came down from Canada in the early ’80s—part of a quiet relocation effort by the U.S. government. Dropped off in the Upper Peninsula, they didn’t just survive… they fell in love. With the silence of snowy mornings, the sweetness of fresh sap, the call of loons across misty lakes. It became home.
Born in the woods.
Raised by the wild.
Loyal to the land.
Jimmer was born here. Raised on thimbleberries and trout, snowstorms and secondhand stories. He’s everything a Yooper oughta be—humble, hilarious, hardy, and handy in a pinch. He hunts, fishes, hikes, forages, fixes sleds, makes pasties from scratch, and ships your orders with care. He even smells like cedar and maple smoke (we think it’s his fur).
